A South Bend Firefighter-Paramedic says he was the victim of a crime while out on an emergency call.
Don Blake says he was working at Station 11 on North Bendix Drive Sunday. He says when he returned to the station after the emergency call, his girlfriend's car, which he drove to work, was gone.
He thinks someone went into the fire-station, swiped his keys, then stole the car. "Apparently they walked in, seen the keys and put two and two together and decided it was better than walking," Blake says.
The car is a light-blue four-door 2004 Honda Civic. Blake says since the station is right by the toll-road, there's no telling how far the thieves got.
Police are now investigating.
