Not the nicest weather in Downtown South Bend for the city's First Fridays festivities.
June's theme was "Celebrating all things sustainable."
An ordinary parking space on Michigan Street was transformed into a green space for the evening, complete with park benches, sod, plants and trees.
People probably didn't appreciate the rain as much as the grass and plants did, but those who braved the weather didn't go home empty-handed.
"We're giving away free seed packets that are wild flower seeds. There's been lots of great activity happening down here," says Julie Curtis with Downtown South Bend.
The Audubon Society was also on hand for some "bird talk."
There were some window restoration demonstrations for people looking to conserve some energy in older homes.
