Police: Victim not sharing much in stabbing investigation

Posted:

Police are searching three female suspects after a man was stabbed and dumped out of an SUV in South Bend.

Witnesses told police that a 19-year-old man was dumped out of a dark blue or black Chevy Trailblazer Monday night at the intersection of Taylor and Indian Streets.  Three women got out of the vehicle and stood over the victim before getting back in and driving away.  Apparently, one of the doors was not completely closed, and one of the women fell out.  The SUV did stop so she could get back inside, before taking off.

The victim is not telling police much about what happened.  Captain Phil Trent with the South Bend Police Department told FOX28 that the victim was on his way to Chicago and was mostly concerned about his luggage.  Police did not search the luggage, citing a lack of probable cause.

The victim's injuries were not life-threatening.
