People were getting arrested left and right in Goshen, on Thursday.
But, you shouldn't feel to bad for them. They weren't in jail. These folks got locked-up was at the Maple Crest Country Club.
It was part of MDA's Jail Bail, the annual fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The jailers showed up at people's workplaces and hauled them off to 'jail.' To raise their bond money, they had to call family and friends for a donation.
"It's good for us in a lot of ways," said 'convict' Mike Yoder. "We actually have a
co-worker who's mother has muscular dystrophy. That's basically what got
us into it."
The money raised helps send kids with Muscular Dystrophy to camp. Incidentally, this year's camp starts on Sunday.
