Rehabilitation work on the State Road 933 bridge in South Bend begins next week. Restrictions and closures are going to be in place until at least September, when the project is scheduled to be completed.
The bridge itself will be restricted to one lane of traffic in each direction through most of the project. The intersection of State Road 933 and Northshore Drive will be closed.
Anyone planning on going to the Leeper Park Art Fair on June 16 & 17 should not worry. INDOT says they have coordinated with the city to ensure that at least one sidewalk will be open to pedestrians that weekend.
