ND Coach Brian Kelly recovering from surgery

The University of Notre Dame says head football coach Brian Kelly is recovering from a back surgery.

Notre Dame says Kelly had surgery for a herniated disc in his lower back Thursday morning.

Kelly is expected to return home this weekend and make a complete recovery by the time Notre Dame opens training camp on August 4.
