It's been an awesome career for Penn tennis player Alexandra Brinker. The first team All-state selection and the two-time Northern Indiana Conference M-V-P won the singles state championship Saturday, defeating Ft Wayne Canterbury's Leah Barnes in straight sets, with her teammates cheering her on.
She is the first Penn singles player to win a state title since 1995. Brinker says it is a dream come true.
Brinker has a bright future ahead of her. She will not only play tennis at Xavier but she also received a vocal scholarship to sing in the chorus.
