Burn Ban in effect for Marshall County

A burn ban is currently in place for all of Marshall County.

County Commissioners, with support from several area fire chiefs, put the emergency burn ban into effect Wednesday. The ban is in response to the dry weather and heat in the area.

They say the county is "threatened by a natural disaster-specifically county wide drought conditions and that these conditions make the county vulnerable to widespread fire hazards."
