Signal Point has nine greens but each one has two flags and two holes to make it an 18 hole private course.
We were playing the blue flag, a 396 yard par 4.
My drive was on the right side.
Of course Dale said stay left on #9. None of us listened.
Alli went right but she was a little longer than mine. The Challengers both found trees on the right.
But one of the guys got a members bounce and it came out. We still had the advantage.
Gary hit a nice second shot. They were short and on the left side. It gave us a chance.
200 yards. Shot #2 was on the top side of the green. Take a look at their third shot by Tom.
Really? It almost went in. And Gary did it even better. He kept them below the hole.
Here's our third shot. Pathetic. Down hill. I guess local knowledge would have helped but they weren't going to give us any secrets.
I don't know how it stopped and we were 10 feet short. Our fourth shot. No break.
Alli had a read, but we three-putt and take a disappointing bogey 5.
So it's the Signal Point Players. Tom can't get his to fall, so it's up to Gary to get them a win.
That's how you scramble and make a par. It wasn't pretty but they beat us by one.
We now trail by one after 10. 44 doesn't feel very good, but there are still eight holes to go.
