A man is in police custody this morning after an armed robbery led to a high-speed chase and a fiery crash.
It happened just before 11:00 p.m. Thursday. Police say the suspect held up the Family Video at the corner of Vistula and Bittersweet Roads in Mishawaka. Police say the suspect took off toward Capital Avenue and led them on a chase reaching speeds close to 100 miles per hour.
The car eventually crashed near the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park on Cleveland Road between Main Street and Grape Road. The suspect's car caught fire before he was arrested. There is no word on what caused the fire.
