As part of the Summer of Service program, hundreds of students from area churches were out around Mishawaka and Elkhart doing some manual labor Friday.
Here's the kicker: if you stopped by for a car wash, there was no need to reach for your wallet.
Students gave YOU a dollar for letting them wash your car!
"Usually people are shocked they don't expect it at all, sometimes it's really hard to get them to take a dollar," says Ann Dill with Evangel Heights United Methodist Church.
If you missed your chance, the kids will be out again Saturday.
