Two local teams were one game away from playing for a state championship. The Coloma softball team and St Joe baseball team were battling it out in Battle Creek with a title in sight.
Bottom 6... St. Joe up 4-0 Bobcats coming alive...
First - Brendan Seymour... line-shot to right
Brings two runs in... 4-2 St. Joe

Then - Austin Dingee w/ 2 outs... shoots one into left... 2 more runs come in and we're tied at 4.
But - the Bears get one in the top of the 7th...
Charles Fleenor... on 3rd tries to steal home...
Causes the John Glenn pitcher to balk...
Fleenor scores... but that go-ahead run wouldn't last.
Bobcats tied it... and in extra inning...
Zach Olcheski flares one into right... throw to the plate is high... heart breaking loss for St. Joe....
6-5 in 8 innings... but a great season.

in the 6th... Emily Najacht drops one over the infielders heads....
Chelsea Carotenuto scores... it was a 2-1 game.
But the Vikings struck out 3 in the 7th...
and they hang on 2-1 against a young but talented Coloma group.
