A stabbing suspect has pleaded guilty in an unrelated drunk driving case. The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office says 21-year-old Joseph Wukotich of Mishawaka pleaded to Causing Serious Bodily Injury While Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated.
The crash happened in early March at the intersection of Jefferson and Logan in Mishawaka. Wukotich's vehicle hit one car causing it to rear end a third car. Four people, including Wukotich, were injured in the crash.
Wukotich is also charged with Aggravated Battery. Police say he stabbed Michael Merritt at the McKinley Woods Apartments on April 1.
