Police have released the name of a man who drowned at Silver Beach in Saint Joseph, MI.
Police say 26-year-old Alexander Hines of Benton Harbor died Tuesday after jumping from the south pier. When he resurfaced, witnesses say he called for help and then went back under the water.
The Berrien County dive team found the man in about seven feet of water. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
