It might have been one of the hottest days of the year, but not too hot to keep the good folks at U-93 from raising a whole lot of money.
FOX 28's Tom Powell was honored to co-host a portion of Roofsit 2012 with "Just Rob" from the U-93 Morning Show.
Rob really has a passion for what he's doing.
He spends a week every year literally living at the Martin's on Ironwood and State Road 23.
He sleeps on the roof then comes down during the day to broadcast and raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention. While I was there today we got a chance to talk with Patricia Hancock from the Family and Children Centers.
"We're awful busy in the winter because they go to school and somebody sees them. In the summer a lot of abuse is hidden because nobody sees them. So it's great timing, to get people aware," Hancock says.
Rob says he's always impressed by the amount of people who donate. "A lot of places are like, 'Oh, we're a community,' but I really feel Michiana is a community and we understand when our own need to be taken care of, and they really step up this week," Rob says.
Roofsit 2012 continues through the end of the week.
