Ever wish you could get on the air?
Well you can, but time's running out.
Saturday afternoon began the 24 hour Amateur Radio Field Day event.
It's a national event, but folks gathered locally at Goshen Middle School.
Participants learned how to build an antenna, communicated via Morse code, and program weather radios.
"A time to get out and get the radios set up like you would in an emergency situation where you don't plug into an outlet in your wall. We have generators going," says amateur radio guru, Doug Birky.
The event runs until 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Goshen Middle School.
