The second annual Blues and Ribs Festival kicked off Saturday morning in South Bend. The music festival is being held in Coveleski Stadium this year. Its first year it was held at Howard Park. Hundreds of people filled the Stadium to listen to music and chow down on some food. Most people we talked to at the event said they were excited to see the main act, Jimmie Vaughan. He played at 8 p.m. But everyone was just enjoying the day off from work with good music. Hedy Darnell said, "I love blues music and we like to be outside just dancing and listening to good music." Jeff Craft called the festival, "life at its finest."
Funds raised from the festival will support the design and construction of
Miracle Park, a facility for special needs
individuals. Tickets are $24.
