Gas prices have dropped in South Bend about 20-cents over the past week to an average of $3.44 per gallon.
Experts expect the price to continue to fall. We could be looking at gas prices under three dollars a gallon in the coming months.
"For every dollar you're not spending at the gas pump, it's another dollar that goes to other kinds of things out there and so it does help out the economy," says St. Mary's College Professor Richard Measell.
