The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for all of Marshall County beginning at 11am until 8pm on Thursday, June 28th.
Heat values will range from 103 to 107 degrees.
Air temperatures and heat index values will range from 103 to 107 degrees.
Take necessary safety precautions if you have to be outdoors.
-Drink plenty of water, wear sun screen and loose fitting clothing. Take plenty of breaks.
- NEVER leave children or pets inside vehicles under any circumstances.
- Check on neighbors and the elderly or folks who may have health issues that make them more vulnerable to heat.
- Learn the signals of heat emergencies.
- Nausea, dizziness, vomiting exhaustion.
- REMEMBER outside pets and animals: provide them with plenty of fresh water and shade.
