As Colorada deals with the massive destruction from wildfires that continue to burn, two of Michiana's own are on their way to help.
Both are highly trained volunteers and they'll be helping coordinate relief operations for people affected by the fires.
Red Cross Officials say the need in Colorado is overwhelming.
"Typically, you'll use people as close as possible but sometimes, and like in this case, the fires have overwhelmed the resources of the local area," says Red Cross Emergency Services Coordinator Doug Farmwald. "There just aren't enough people, there aren't enough trucks, there aren't enough, anything to deal with that issue."
If you want to help out, the Red Cross says donating money is your best bet.
