South Bend's Fire Department is in need of some good firefighters.
WorkOne hosted a recruitment event in South Bend on Thursday.
The goal of the fair is to get people interested in becoming a first responder.
Job Seekers were able to ask questions and learn about any job openings in the department.
"I think its very important. I think people need to understand the job of the fire department and exactly what we have to offer."
Chief Corthier says applicants have to pass a written test, physical test and an in person interview.
