Big news at the U.S. Olympic Track Qualifiers. Plymouth High School Grad Morgan Uceney was in the 1,500 meter semi-finals today in Eugene, Oregon. She won the race to put herself in the finals Sunday. She's now just one win shy from the Olympics.
Another athlete with Michiana ties is 2006 Notre Dame grad Molly Huddle. She finished 2nd in the 5,000 meter race late Thursday night. all that's separating her from London is a pair of plane tickets now. Huddle is a 9-time all-American and is the current American record holder in the 5,000 meters.
Unfortunately, another Notre Dame grad Dan Clark finished 8th tonight in the 1500 meter, so he does not move on. Be sure to tune into FOX28 News at 10 Sunday night to see if Uceney can keep her Marshall County dream alive.
