A celebrity of the BBQ world was in Michiana Friday departing his wisdom on the best way to grill ribs!
"One of the things that you want to do is low and slow. You'll hear that all the time," says "Rasta" Joe Alexander from Plymouth.
Rasta Joe's skills are nationally respected! He started winning BBQ contests like Memphis in May, then turned his success into a business. He sells Rasta Joe Sauces and Rubs.
He gave a free cooking class to shoppers out at the Martin's on Western Avenue. The store was thrilled to have him!
"The first thing we wanted to do was bring some excitement to the West end and what better thing to do than to have Rasta Joe himself supporting his BBQ sauce and just giving back to neighborhood a little bit," says Martin's Manager Rich Holland.
