Simonton Lake fireworks canceled, poker run still on

The dry conditions have forced another group to cancel its display of fireworks.

The Simonton Lake Sportsmen's Club postponed its show that was supposed to take place Saturday night after the annual poker run on the lake.

That event still went off without a hitch!

Hundreds of people showed up to enjoy a day on the lake and see if they could get a winning hand.

The group plans to hold their fireworks show later in the summer.
