For her entire life, Morgan Uceny has had dreams of running in the Olympics for Team USA.
Sunday, the Plymouth state champion had her shot at making it... in the finals of the 1500 meter run.
The U.S. will send a world-class trio to London in the women's 1,500 meters.
Uceny, the Diamond League champion, Shannon Rowbury, and Jenny Simpson, the world champion, went 1-2-3 on Sunday at Hayward Field.
The three separated themselves from the pack in the final 400 meters and showed that they were a cut above the women chasing them.
Uceny raced to the win in 4:04.59. Shannon Rowbury was second in 4:05.11, less than a step ahead of Simpson (4:05.17).
