Man in jail after rollover accident in Elkhart County

An Elkhart man was taken to the Elkhart County jail after a rollover accident Monday morning. It happened at 1 a.m. on Valley View Drive just south of Mishawaka Road (County Road 20) near Concord West Side Elementary School

Police say 23-year-old Johnathan Rider was going too fast around curves when he lost control of his car and left the road. He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released for minor cuts to his forehead.

Police say he failed field sobriety tests and a breath test and was taken to jail for operating while intoxicated.
