The Saint Joseph County Police Department says an anonymous tip regarding a
stolen car led detectives to a chop shop and marijuana growing operation in Mishawaka. The discovery
came Monday in 55000 block of Filbert
Road.
Police say they recovered the stolen car and found evidence of a motor
vehicle chop shop. Police say during the investigation, they found a marijuana
grow operation that appears capable of producing over a million dollars a year
in illegal drugs. Police say they seized marijuana plants with an estimated
street value of over $100 thousand dollars.
Police did not say if anyone is in custody and did not release any suspect
information, citing an ongoing investigation. They're asking anyone with
