Police in St. Joseph County are trying to figure out how a semi trailer came loose on the U.S. 20 bypass.
It happened around 3:00 Wednesday morning on the eastbound side near the Mayflower Road exit. Police say a semi was hauling two trailers when one of them came loose and got stuck at the top of a hill on the side of the road. Half of the trailer was down the embankment while the other half blocked part of a lane.
Police stayed on the scene to let drivers know to get in the left lane. We're told no one was hurt in this accident.
