A motorcycle rider from Goshen has died after
an accident on State Road 15 at County Road 146 in Elkhart County.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says a pickup truck was making a left
turn from SR15 onto eastbound CR146 and didn't see the motorcycle, which was passing
a vehicle turning from northbound SR15 to westbound CR146. Police say the motorcycle hit the passenger side of the pickup truck making the turn.
The motorcycle rider, 33-year-old Ronald Pegan II of Goshen,
was taken to a Goshen
hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.
Police say no citations were issued at the scene and the ECSD Crash Investigation
Team is still investigating the crash.
