Warsaw man killed in car accident

A Warsaw man was killed Thursday night after hitting a utility pole.

It happened on County Road 350 West just north of County Road 200 North around 9:15 p.m.

When officers arrived they say they found Shaun Owens and his car on the west side of County Road 350. He'd been wearing a seatbelt but was partially thrown from the vehicle. The 32-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses say Owens lost control of his vehicle and overcorrected.

The Kosciusko County's FACT team is investigating the accident. They do not believe alcohol was a factor.
