A woman from Illinois has died after a motorcycle
accident Thursday near Pierceton.
Police say 39-year-old Paula Harwood
of Bourbonnais, Illinois was a passenger on a bike driven by her husband, Thomas.
Witnesses say the rear tire blew
out, causing the bike to flip along U.S. 30.
Both Harwoods were taken to Fort Wayne hospitals. The Allen County Coroner's Office says
Paula Harwood died from her injuries Thursday afternoon.
Thomas Harwood was last reported in serious
but stable condition. The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department says he is a police officer in Illinois.
