Thankfully record-breaking temps have passed, but not before doing some serious damage. The Elkhart County coroner says two people have died because of the heat.
One was 84-year-old Kathleen Hyre who didn't have air conditioning. Coroner John White says her apartment reached 98 degrees when she died on Friday.
The other was 45-year-old Michael Bowen who also didn't have air conditioning. White says that man was morbidly obese. He was found dead, Saturday.
