Railroad construction closes Sunnyside Ave in Elkhart

Drivers in Elkhart will want to be aware of a road construction project beginning at midnight Tuesday.

INDOT will be improving the railroad crossing on Sunnyside Avenue between U.S. 33 and County Road 45. That means that stretch of road will be closed for two days.

Most of the work will be done during the night and crews expect to have everything back to normal by Thursday morning.
