They're swimming, they're running, they're competing all for the Du Like a Dog event at Potato Creek State Park on July 22nd.
And a few of the Owners and their dogs got in a little practice Monday night.
They'll be doing a 100 yard swim and 1 mile run with their owner while being tethered together.
They decided as a community of dog-lovers and competitive athletes this was the perfect way to spend a day and raise money for area rescue organizations.
This has only been done one other time, in Texas.
"Please come out and watch. Even if you can't participate, it's gonna be a fun event," said Owner of Spin Zone Cycling Peter Colan. "The agencies are gonna be here with some dogs they're gonna put up for adoption. We're gonna have K-9 agility demonstrations, gonna have all kinds of fun things to do."
They are filling up fast but they still have some slots to fill.
