Two projects going on at the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks that run through Mishawaka will shut down traffic starting at 9 a.m. Thursday.
In the downtown area, Spring Street will be closed to through traffic between 4th and 6th Street. Drivers will want to take 4th Street east, Main Street south, and 6th Street west. That will take you back to Spring Street.
On Elder Street traffic will be detoured west on Lincolnway East. Then the detour will go south on Oakside Avenue, west on Harrison Road and that will take drivers back to Blackberry Road/Elder Street.
Both projects will get underway at the same time and both are expected to be complete by Friday, July 20.
