Milford man killed after motorcycle hits parked truck

A Milford man is dead after hitting a pickup truck with his motorcycle early Friday morning. The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department says 54-year-old Russell Whetten was riding on County Road 1150 North around 2:45am when the accident happened.

The owner of the truck, Charles Byrket, had apparently backed his truck into his driveway with a portion of the front end sticking out into the roadway. Byrket was not in the truck at the time of the crash, but was hooking up a trailer to the back end of the truck when it happened.

The Kosciusko County crash team is continuing to investigate.
