How would you like to experience Shakespeare in ten minutes?

That's exactly what ShakeScenes is all about.

It's the kick off to Notre Dame's Shakespeare festival.

Children performed ten minute scenes from different Shakespeare plays.

The child actors say they've learned a lot by participating and think everyone should learn more about the famous playwright.

"Once you get into Shakespeare it's like a whole new world just opens for you," says ShakeScenes actor, Candance LeBron-Williams.

"If can open you up to new things you can do and you can have fun doing them," says ShakesScenes actor, Indonesia Holt.

The festival continues through August 26th with professional performances of "Hamlet" and "A Midsummer's Night's Dream."
