Forest River is asking for a pair of tax breaks to expand operations. The RV maker is one of Elkhart County's largest employers and is looking to expand it's operations in Middlebury and Millersburg.
The company says the tax breaks would allow them to remain competitive in the RV industry. Forest River has asked for tax deductions spanning eight years for property improvements and equipment.
A company spokesperson says they also have to have local support to qualify for state assistance, and that assistance could add up to between 6 and 10 million dollars.
