Police hunting for Elkhart shooting suspect

Elkhart plice are investigating a shooting that happened late Tuesday night. Police were called out to a home on the 1600 block of 6th Street. There they found 26-year-old Jaime Benavidez had been shot.

Benavidez was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still looking for a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the Elkhart POlice Department at 574-295-7070.
