A hiring event took place Wednesday at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center in South Bend.
WorkOne joined faith-based and nonprofit groups to sponsor the WorkOne Westside Hiring Event.
There are multiple positions available from various industries including manufacturing, logistics, distribution, warehousing, construction, banking marketing and retail.
Potential employees, including Faith Slaughter, arrived looking for jobs. Slaughter says, "I'm a little disappointed with the job market here, so I'm hoping to really land something."
Industry employers handed out applications and set up interviews during the four hour event.
