Posted:

One group of guys won't let anything stop them from hitting the softball diamond.  They're the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball team.  They're all veterans who lost limbs in Iraq or Afghanistan.  Right Fielder Kyle Earl lost his hand after driving over an IED in Iraq in 2006.  Kyle Earl/Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team. "We are all of the mindset that just because we're missing something we'll play against able bodied teams and that's our goal is to show people that just cause you're missing part of your body doesn't mean that's the end of your life," said Earl.

The team played two games in our area today.  One against the Goshen City Firefighters and the other against the Elkhart City Firefighters.
