Special Olympics of St. Joseph County held a hog roast fundraiser Saturday. There was tons of tasty food, live music, games, prizes, and even a dunk tank. All the money raised goes towards Special Olympics athletes in St Joseph County.
Organizers say the Special Olympics improves the lives of all athletes involved and athletes agree. Athlete Joe Grooms said, "It's helped me to become who I am today cause If I hadn't of joined I wouldn't be so talkative I'd probably be like all shy and stuff."
This event is the special Olympics biggest fundraiser of the year. Their goal was to raise five thousand dollars
