Motorcycle driver killed in Cass County crash

A motorcycle driver was killed in a crash in Cass County, Michigan Sunday morning.

It happened at the intersection of US 12 and Leet Road.

Michigan State Police says 61 year-old Tim McCavit of Granger was killed when he couldn't get out of the way of an on-coming car.

Investigators say the 25 year-old driver of that car was trying to pass another vehicle and got into McCavit's path.

Alcohol and drugs don't appear to be a facto in the crash.
