A bowl of spaghetti ice cream has been named the "Signature Food" by judges at this year's Indiana State Fair.

Before you say "ew, gross," keep reading.

The ice cream from Monroe Concessions isn't really spaghetti. The "pasta" is gelato, strawberries make up the "tomato sauce," white chocolate shavings are the "cheese" and the "meatballs" are chocolate.

The fair says Bob and Joanie Monroe of Marion came up with the concept after learning this year's fair is the "Year of Dairy Cows" and will feature an Italy exhibit in the International Pavilion.

The Monroes also won the contest with deep-fried chocolate covered strawberries in 2006.

If you want to try it yourself, the spaghetti ice cream is $5 and will be available at their stand on Main Street across from the Pepsi Coliseum. The Indiana State Fair runs from August 3rd through 9th.
