Harsh storms ripped through areas in northern Indiana, Tuesday morning, but few were hit as hard as Knox.
"It came in so fast and the rain looked like it was horizontal," says Knox resident, Mike Marsh.
Around 8:00am, the town was struck with heavy rains and winds as strong as 70 miles per hour, leaving a lot of damage.
"There are trees down everywhere, on cars, on homes. This is the worst storm we've had since I can remember, in 1966," says Marsh.
A tree branch pierced a hole into Helen Bormet's living room. She said she woke up to loud noises and noticed the hole over her television set.
"It wasn't that it lasted that long, but it did a lot of damage when it did last," says Bormet.
"My poor little house," she says while inspecting the damage.
Trees are uprooted, power lines down, homes damaged, and cars are totaled by the storm.
Other areas in Starke County are affected by the storms, but the town of Knox was hit the hardest and it was without power all day Tuesday.
