After 24 years, Mishawaka Marian golf coach and assistant principle Jim Kryder is moving on.
Kryder lead the Knights to the state finals along with 6 Northern Indiana Conference championships in 10 years.
Today his friends and family threw a retirement party in his honor. Kryder and his wife are moving to Tulsa to be with his two children and six grand children.
The three-time NIC coach of the year had a great run at the helm, including the mentoring of Mental Attitude award winner and current Duke golfer Adam Sumrall.
He says during the past two decades, it's bitter sweet leaving Marian.
As a coach, he tried to instill dedication, hard work and positivity.
