It's that time of year again. The start of the school year is only a few weeks away so parents, teachers, and stores are gearing up for the back to school shopping rush.
Barb Hahn said, "It ends too soon, summer does." She just started shopping for school supplies for her three children. She has a long list of things she needs to get to make sure they're ready for school. "A lot of different folders for each of the classes and notebooks and paper, a lot of um sticky notes," said Hahn
She'll be spending the next couple weeks shopping to get all those supplies plus clothes. And she's certainly not the only shopper out there. Super Target in Mishawaka said they've seen a lot of people shopping early for back to school this year and it'll only get busier. Executive Team Leader Sharleen Jirreh said, "we expect traffic to definitely pick up." But they're ready for it
"We hire additional team members to support the back to school and back to college need," said Jirreh.
The Concord Mall is also expecting a rush of back to school shoppers soon. "First of August for sure and that kind of accelerates through the middle of the month," said General Manager Robert Thatcher. And if you're headed out to do your back to school shopping Concord Mall General Manager Robert Thatcher says check the mall's web site first because, "our retailers are posting valuable coupons." Their web site is: http://www.shopconcordmall.com/
Jirreh said Target is also offering deals through back to school season. And they can help you out in other ways with your school needs. They have school uniforms for boys and girls. And they have school supply lists in the store for select area school.
