Elkhart County Commissioners lifted the county's burn ban
Monday morning. The county had been under a burn ban since mid-June.
Commissioners are still urging people use caution while
burning. They say there are still areas of the county that are dry and
susceptible to fire.
Lifting the ban doesn't mean residents can light fireworks. A
county ordinance limits when people can light them. County Commissioners
say they will consider an exemption that would let people use fireworks yet
this year.
