Get ready to party "On the River"

We're getting closer to South Bend's biggest beach party! On the River!

It's at the riverfront on Colfax Avenue.

Volunteers got together Friday to continue setting up for the party.

"We're putting the finishing touches..touch of paint, raking out the sand, getting all the rocks out of there, making sure its nice and comfortable for people to walk around barefoot and enjoy themselves," says Event Director Garrett Gingerich.

The beach party is August 3rd and 4th.

Friday night is teen night. Family day is during the day Saturday and the 21 and over beach party is Saturday night.

It benefits the Center for the Homeless. FOX28 is a proud sponsor of this event.
