Five teenagers were hurt when the car they were driving in crashed into a pole.
Eighteen-year-old Kristine Garten of Shipshewana was driving on State Road 120 in Elkhart County near State Road 13 when it happened.
The Sheriff's Department says Garten drove down an embankment and crashed head-on into a pole.
The four passengers included: 16-year-old Brooke Stephenson of White Pigeon, Michigan, 13-year-old Kamren Garten of White Pigeon, 13-year-old Joanus Lace of Syracuse, Indiana, and 16-year-old Kari Garten White Pigeon.
All five teens were taken to the hospital for a variety of injuries including cuts and broken bones.
Two, including the driver, were airlifted with possible head injuries.
Police say they were all wearing seatbelts.
